Tatiana Restaurant's First-Ever Wine Night Hosted By IBest Wines
There's nothing like a wine night in New York City, especially when it's in a beautiful setting, with beautiful people, and amazing wine.
IBest Wines, a wine blend created in South Africa, hosted a wine night at New York City's hottest restaurant, Tatiana by Chef Kwame Onwuachi.
Hosted by IBest Wines' visionary founder, Ingrid Best, alongside the brand's sommelier, Grace Mahary, the event drew an intimate circle of friends and cultural influencers. Guests included radio personality Angela Yee, womenswear designer Fe Noel, actress Susan Kelechi Watson, singer-songwriter Goapele, Roc Nation’s Lenny S., artist Kendall Hurns and DJ Trauma.
"One of my favorite things is connecting with people over art, food and wine and that’s what the evening with IBest Wines was all about," Hurns shares. "Having the opportunity to dine in Lincoln Center at a restaurant owned by an incredible Black chef, drink award-winning wine from South Africa, and engage in meaningful conversations was truly special. The vibe of the room was top-tier."
The event was the award-winning restaurant's first-ever wine night and was more than just a wine tasting. Attendees not only made a toast to everyone's accomplishments but also celebrated IBest Wines' recent gold medals at the 2024 New York International Wine Competition for Producer of the Year and its white blend, spotlighting South Africa as a premier wine region.
“South Africa’s wine industry has historically been underrepresented on the global stage despite its exceptional quality and potential for growth. By sourcing our wines from South Africa, we aim to shine a spotlight on this dynamic wine region…Our partnership with Stellenbosch Vineyards underscores our commitment to supporting local producers and fostering economic empowerment within the South African wine community,” Best shared in an interview with Because Of Them We Can.
