Black Man Called Hero After Saving an Elderly Asian Man From Carjacker

A Black man saved the day again.

An unidentified Black man is being regarded a hero after stopping a carjacking that reportedly targeted an elderly Asian man in Los Angeles, according to Yahoo.

The video was posted on Instagram by Black and Asian Souls Unite, and the footage was confirmed by NextShark, who originally posted the video. The footage does not show the carjacking but what it appears to be the aftermath.

The video shows a Black man pointing a handgun at the alleged carjacker, which forced him away from the victim. When one zooms into the video, one can see the carjacker throwing back in what appears to be the Asian man’s car keys.

“Get the f**k off my street!” the Samaritan demands before firing a warning shot. “You come around here bullying people on my f’cking street, n*gga?”

Then, the man kept the alleged suspect at bay by pushing him on the back several times until he reaches a safe distance.

One of the background voices heard in the video yells, “Thank you” after his rescuer passes on the car keys.

Miracle Mile Zone 7 Rep. Thao Tran, also the chair of Public Safety & Wellbeing Mid-City West Neighborhood Council, said the incident happened April 27 in the Los Angeles’ Miracle Mile area.

Tran told NextShark that a resident provided the video to the Los Angeles Police Department volunteer.

She said she needed to share the video to raise awareness.

“This video was provided by a resident, to one of my fellow LAPD volunteers,” she said. “When I reviewed the video, I felt strongly that it had to be shared.”

The video has drawn positive responses on Instagram, with some heralding the man a hero.

“The man yelling, ‘Thank you.’ I thank him,” journalist Lisa Ling commented. Actor and producer Will Lex Ham said, “Yes! THANK YOU!”

“This is amazing. Please please please keep up this energy on BOTH sides. “Were in this together ya’ll,” user @soft.baked wrote.
