Black Male Nominees of the 2022 Soul Train Music Awards

Black award season is one of the most exciting times that people look forward to. The sense of fashion, Hip-Hop, R&B and black excellence is all a lot to take in and for sure appreciated.

Recently the Soul Train Awards 2022 was announced and will premiere on Sunday, November 27th at 8 PM ET/PT on BET and BET Her. The exciting news is a Black man, actor and comedian Deon Cole is set to host the celebration.

Cole has been doing standup comedy, writing and acting for years. He co-starred in shows & movies such as BLACK-ish (ABC), The Harder They Fall (Netflix), You People (Netflix), and is currently playing Alfonso in the upcoming all-star cast of The Color Purple. Deon states, "hosting the Soul Train Awards is a dream come true. I grew up watching Soul Train and ‘til this day, I’ve never met a Soul Train Line I didn’t bless with my skilled two step.”

“Deon Cole is known for delivering razor-sharp humor and commentary across his acclaimed standup specials and series. Get ready to see him unleash his comedic talents like never before on the Soul Train Awards stage and don’t say we didn’t warn you,” said Connie Orlando, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy.
