Snoop Dogg, Sanaa Lathan and More Celebrate the Release of the Paramount + Film 'On the Come Up'

Snoop Dogg and BLE celebrated the upcoming release of the Paramount + film On the Come Up by hosting a star-studded screening of the movie at Snoop’s compound in Inglewood, California.

The movie is adapted from Angie Thomas’ best-selling novel of the same name and is directed by actress Sanaa Lathan, which is her directorial debut. The film stars Lathan along with Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Mike Epps, Lil Yachty, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Justin Martin, Titus Makin, Michael Cooper Jr., GaTa, and newcomer Jamila C. Gray.

Attendees at the screening were treated to a fun-filled night consisting of food trucks, concessions, a bar, a DJ, and Snoop's vintage cars where guests got to sit and watch the movie “drive-in” style. Along with the cast and director, guests included Lady London, Jonica Booth, P-Valley actress Brandee Evans, rapper Warren G, Page Kennedy, Laron Hines and others.

The original film tells the story of Bri, a gifted 16-year-old rapper, as she attempts to take the battle rap scene by storm in order to lift up her family and do right by the legacy of her father – a local hip hop legend whose career was cut short by gang violence.

On the Come Up is now streaming on Paramount + on September 23rd.
