Kevin Hart's 'Right to Offend: The Black Comedy Revolution' Will Premiere on A&E


A&E, the network known for great biographical television, will soon premiere a two-part documentary entitled Right to Offend: The Black Comedy Revolution.



The project, which is executive produced by Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat and Time Studios, explores the progression of Black comedy and the comedians who have crafted their humor to expose, challenge, and ridicule society’s injustices and to articulate the Black experience in America.


Some of these bold comedians include Redd Foxx, Moms Mabley, Dick Gregory, Richard Pryor Eddie Murphy, and Whoopi Goldberg as well as shows like In Living Color and Def Comedy Jam. Modern acts like Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle along with creators Key & Peele, Issa Rae, Amber Ruffin, and Tiffany Haddish are also featured in the conversation.



Right to Offend: The Black Comedy Revolution will premiere this Wednesday, June 29 at 9 PM ET and the second episode will air June 30 at 9 PM ET on A&E.
