A.D. Dolphin Shares the Dos and Don’ts of Clean Eating

The holiday season is here and two things we love to do around this time, eat and enjoy great people. After the holiday season is over, people tend to notice that their weight has changed and they can no longer fit into their favorite pair of jeans. We wanted to know what could be done to kick the year off with a better body and a clearer mindset. We chatted with A.D. Dolphin, the entrepreneur who has helped popularize the herbal supplement industry, about some of the best tips for cleaner eating.

The Dos:

  • Follow the raw vegan diet and don’t stray from it. You can only eat raw fruits, vegetables, and raw nuts and seeds during the cleanse.

  • Take the correct amount of capsules in the order that the booklet details.

  • Eat when you are hungry and don’t worry about the amount you eat. As long as you follow the diet, you can eat as much as you like.

  • Drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water to sufficiently hydrate the body.

  • Engaging in light exercise is not a requirement, but it can aid the weight loss process. Aerobic exercise and light weightlifting are recommended.

  • Trust the process!

The Don’ts:

  • Don’t veer from the diet. It can be difficult, especially in the first few days, but it gets easier as you find the rhythm and recipes you enjoy.

  • Don’t go out to parties where you will be tempted to eat anything and everything in sight.

  • If you have foods that you should not eat in your pantry, don’t keep them in the house during your cleanse. If unhealthy foods are insight, you’re more likely to reach for them.

  • You should not fast while cleansing. The body needs food to eliminate waste. Failure to give the body sustenance will make the body retain fat and water.

  • Don’t juice for the entirety of the cleanse. You shouldn’t juice for more than 3 days at a time. The body needs fiber, so it’s best to include actual food or smoothies between juicing periods.

  • Lastly, don’t give up if you do cheat on the diet. Don’t dwell on a slip-up because you can get back on the horse and progress with a positive attitude and more determination.
