Omar J. Dorsey Talks Reprising His Role in 'Halloween Kills', His Mentor and 'Queen Sugar'

As Halloween movie season heats up, Omar J. Dorsey is jumping back on the big screen as he reprises his role as Sherrif Barker in the Halloween thriller franchise. Halloween Kills is the sequel to the 2018 box office hit and 12th installment of the franchise.

When asked about having the opportunity to work again with the original Scream Queen, Jamie Lee Curtis, he admits it was better this time around because not only did they have a more in-depth conversation but she actually knew his name as he jokes about it.

When you watch Halloween Kills, Omar hits the screen with memorable force. He revealed that veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson was his mentor so it was no surprise to witness such greatness (when you watch the film you will know what I'm talking about).

During our conversation, we also learned that Omar will not only be continuing his role as Hollingsworth “Hollywood” Desonier on the hit OWN TV Show Queen Sugar, but he is currently at work on the second season of the Starz show Raising Kanan.

Check out the full conversation below.

Halloween Kills hits theaters October 15.
