Epix Lights Up Extreme Action With the Second Season Trailer of "The Godfather of Harlem"
Let’s face it, in life, drug dealers are all over the world. We see it, some experience it and we hear about it all the time. Kingpins of the drug game are usually flashy rich-looking men who have worked their way to the top to be the best at what they do. That’s where Bumpy Johnson comes in. Bumpy was a well-known drug trafficker in the Harlem neighborhood of NYC’s Manhattan in the 1960s.
Now even though Bumpy has been portrayed in several films over the years, nothing is like his portrayal by the one and only Forest Whitaker in the EPIX hit show The Godfather of Harlem. With a very intense first season, it’s a no brainer that the network greenlit a second season. The new season is set to premiere in April 2021 and boy it’s on fire! The trailer opens with a speed chase between Bumpy and the Italians. As it continues, the trailer flashes a serious look on Bumpy’s face which lets you know it’s about to be on and Bumpy is back with that action!
The background of the show centers around Bumpy returning home after 11 years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. Bumpy must take on the Genovese crime family to regain control and be the kingpin he once was.
