Jay-Z Announces Launch of New Cannabis Brand

Business and entertainment mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter recently announced his plans to launch his newest business venture, a marijuana line called Monogram.

The new line is set to be released by Caliva, a California weed company that Carter joined back in 2019 as its chief brand strategist.

The company revealed in a statement, “Monogram seeks to redefine what cannabis means to consumers today. In an effort to provide a more tailored customer experience, the brand will also launch through a best in class e-commerce platform dedicated exclusively to its singular product line.”

With the announcement comes Monogram’s website and Instagram, already active with limited details available.

“From soil to seed, the expert growers at Monogram leverage a lifetime of cultivation experience to ensure our flower is treated with the respect it deserves through every stage of the grow process,” Monogram writes on its company website. “Precise control and constant monitoring allow our flower to reach its full potential as a superior smoke,” Monogram’s website stated.

It continued, “Monogram flower is grown in small batches, allowing for every plant to receive personalized attention from our expert growers. Our batch-by-batch approach and unique potency designation allow us to highlight the nuances in between harvests and tell you the story of every flower.”

In addition, Carter also debuted a new TIDAL Playlist, Monogram: Sounds from the Grow Room, which features artists like Fela Kuti, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Outkast, Rihanna, and more.

However, it’s unclear when the brand will make its way to dispensaries and if it’ll only be sold in California, or make an appearance in other legalized states.
