Black Gifted & Whole continues to empower black gay male students and has now relocated to the big apple. Last night, the non-profit organization hosted its first event in New York City inside Harlem Nights Lounge.
The mission of Black Gifted and Whole is to empower, educate and mobilize Black gay men by acknowledging, celebrating and affirming their whole selves. They want to change not only the way Black gay men are perceived but how they perceive themselves. Over the past year, they have raised over $50,000 in scholarship funds.
The event was filled with supporters of the cause! Not only did the attendees enjoy dancing to DJ B Majr beats they received a special surprise gift when Issa Rae from the hit HBO Show Insecure made her way into the party.
