With Power Book IV: Force officially reaching its conclusion, Starz and Lionsgate are already deep into the next chapter of the franchise. Cameras are rolling on Power: Origins, the highly anticipated prequel series that takes fans back to the beginning of Ghost and Tommy’s rise.

Set in New York City, Power: Origins explores the early lives of James “Ghost” St. Patrick and Tommy Egan long before penthouses, nightclubs, and global drug empires. The series centers on their younger years as ambitious, hungry entrepreneurs navigating the streets with equal parts audacity and loyalty, determined not just to survive, but to become legends.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson confirmed production is underway in classic fashion, posting a photo on social media of himself standing alongside the new faces of Ghost and Tommy. Spence Moore steps into the role of young Ghost, while Charlie Mann takes on Tommy.

Starz officially ordered an 18-episode first season of Power: Origins last July, making it one of the most substantial launches in franchise history. The series will also see Mekai Curtis reprise his role as Kanan Stark, connecting Origins directly to the world established in Power Book III: Raising Kanan and further tightening the Power timeline.

With Force ending, Origins reframes everything that came before. Fans already know how Ghost and Tommy’s story ends. What they haven’t fully seen is how the ambition, brotherhood, and moral fractures that defined them were formed.

And Origins isn’t the only future project in motion.

Another spinoff, Power: Legacy, is also in development. Reportedly led by Joseph Sikora as Tommy and Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick, Legacy would bridge generations within the franchise, suggesting that Tommy’s story doesn’t end with Force.

Power Book IV: Force may be over, but Power itself is very much alive. And with Power: Origins officially a go, the story is just getting started—again.
