When your name is Odell Beckham Jr., even whispers turn into headlines. The three-time Pro Bowler and one of the most electrifying wide receivers of his generation found himself at the center of an NFL rumor mill this week, but he’s making it clear: he’s not hanging up his cleats anytime soon.

The buzz started when a false report began circulating on social media, claiming Beckham had decided to retire after 10 seasons in the league.

The post, attributed to “Adam Schelfer” (not ESPN insider Adam Schefter), stated OBJ had officially called it a career after stints with the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and Miami Dolphins.

Beckham wasted no time shutting it down.

“LOL WTF… when was that announced and by who?” he posted in response on X (formerly Twitter). “That’s funny, appreciate the concerns but this shxt ain’t over yet.”

In a follow-up, OBJ doubled down: “Not done yet… thanks for the hr concerns and have a blessed day.”

A Career Still in Motion

At 32, Beckham’s career already includes more than a decade of highlight-reel catches and game-changing plays. He became a household name during his five seasons with the Giants, racking up 5,476 receiving yards, 390 catches, and 44 touchdowns, including the iconic one-handed grab that became one of the most replayed moments in NFL history.

Since then, he’s added a Super Bowl ring with the Rams in 2022, battled through injuries, and most recently suited up for the Ravens and Dolphins.

While he remains a free agent heading into the 2025 season, Beckham’s message to fans and doubters is clear: he’s still ready to compete.

For now, the football world will have to wait and see where OBJ lands next.
