SHOWTIME has officially announced the return of the hit drama series, The Chi, for its seventh season. The new season is set to premiere on-demand and via streaming for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan on Friday, May 16.
For those preferring a traditional viewing experience, the series will make its on-air debut on Sunday, May 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Created by Lena Waithe, The Chi continues to keep audiences locked in with its authentic storytelling centered around the lives of residents on Chicago’s South Side. According to Paramount+, the sixth season was a massive success, delivering its most-watched season yet on streaming.
The upcoming seventh season features a powerful shift as Alicia (Lynn Whitfield) takes the helm, setting the stage for an intense power struggle among the formidable women of The Chi.
