The Philadelphia Eagles will officially visit the White House on Monday, April 28, 2025, to celebrate their Super Bowl LVIII victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The announcement puts an end to speculation regarding whether the team would accept the traditional invitation extended to championship-winning teams.

The Eagles will head up to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, just days after the 2025 NFL Draft.

After the Super Bowl, rumors surfaced that the Eagles had declined the White House invitation. However, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt debunked those reports, confirming that the invitation was extended and accepted.

“I know there was a lot of fake news about an invitation that wasn’t sent or was sent. We want to correct the record: we sent an invitation, they enthusiastically accepted, and you will see them here on April 28,” Leavitt stated.

An Eagles spokesperson also confirmed the visit, ensuring that the team is excited about the opportunity to celebrate their championship win at the nation’s capital.

While the team as a whole has accepted the invitation, individual players still have the option to opt out of the visit. Some former players who played a crucial role in the championship run but have since left via free agency or trade—including Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson—may still be invited to attend the ceremony.

However, the Eagles’ core roster, coaching staff, and front office are expected to be present.
