After a long wait and much speculation, Euphoria Season 3 is officially in production, and Colman Domingo promises fans it will be worth it.

The Emmy-winning actor, who plays Ali, stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show to share his excitement about the long-awaited return of the hit HBO series.

“We are filming now. It’s happening,” Domingo said. “We’ve been waiting for this for like… It’s happening. We’re actually in production, and we’re going to deliver a stellar Season 3.”

With filming now in full swing, fans can breathe a sigh of relief after months of rumors suggesting Season 3 might not happen. HBO boss Casey Bloys previously confirmed that the series, created by Sam Levinson, would return with a full eight-episode season in 2025, putting to rest speculation that the show’s future was in jeopardy.

When asked what fans can expect from the upcoming season, Domingo was careful not to spill too much but did offer a juicy tease about his character, Ali. “You’re going to see another side of Ali that you have not seen, that maybe you wanted to see,” he revealed.

The biggest takeaway? Most of the principal cast is back. That means fans will get to see Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and the rest of the ensemble return to continue the high-intensity drama that has captivated audiences since 2019.

Euphoria has become one of HBO’s most successful and critically acclaimed series, earning 25 Emmy nominations and nine wins, including two for Zendaya (Best Actress in a Drama) and one for Domingo (Best Guest Actor in a Drama).

Domingo, who has been booked and busy with roles in The Color Purple and the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, where he plays Joe Jackson, is ready to dive back into Euphoria’s emotionally intense world.

“Sam has been working so beautifully on this new season,” he added. “It’s taken a while, but when I tell you, it’s going to be well worth the wait.”

With production now officially underway, all eyes are on Euphoria as it gears up for its highly anticipated third season. Fans can expect even more drama, heartbreak, and—according to Domingo—a new side of Ali they’ve never seen before.
