The CW’s All American has released a teaser for its seventh season, and it looks like they’re returning to high school football while introducing a fresh cast and new storylines.
In July, it was announced that Daniel Ezra, who played Spencer James—the central character of the series—would be leaving. Then, in September, The CW revealed that Samantha Logan (Olivia), Cody Christian (Asher), Karimah Westbrook (Grace James), Monét Mazur (Laura Baker), and Chelsea Tavares (Patience) would also not return as series regulars.
The season 7 teaser takes us back to South Crenshaw High, where Spencer’s legacy began. The spotlight shifts to a fresh crop of players stepping onto the field. Jordan Baker (Michael Evans Behling), now stepping into a coaching role, mirrors the mentorship once offered by his father, Billy Baker (Taye Diggs).

In the trailer, Jordan extends an offer to Khalil, a troubled South Crenshaw student played by Antonio J. Bell, a newly promoted series regular. “What would you say if I wanted you to come play for me?” Jordan asks, echoing the iconic scene where Billy first approached Spencer in season 1.
This full-circle moment sets the stage for a compelling mentor-mentee dynamic, as Jordan helps Khalil navigate both the game and life off the field.
Beverly Hills High also sees a shake-up, with Osy Ikhile joining the cast as Cassius Jeremy, the new football coach, and Nathaniel McIntyre portraying his son, Kingston, a transferred quarterback.
These parallels between past and present offer a compelling way to introduce a new cast while honoring the original story that captivated us all.

Season 7 kicks off with a special sneak peek episode on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, before premiering in its regular timeslot on Monday, February 3, 2025, on The CW.
